Duke of Edinburgh Presentation Evening Success
It was a fantastic evening, celebrating the successes of not only the 29 Bronze Award holders but also all the 22 pupils who completed their Duke of Edinburgh Diamond Challenge, an award to celebrate the 60 year Duke of Edinburgh Anniversary. The certificates and badges were presented by former Head teacher Mr Kerridge, who very kindly travelled to be at the presentation and said a few words at the ceremony. Many of Bronze Award holders have signed up to continue and complete their Silver Awards with the school, along with many new Bronze participants from Year 9. We are very proud of them and wish them every success in completing their awards!

City Dogs Home Appeal
Just before Christmas, Year 7 pupils did a great job of collecting various items for the City Dogs Home Appeal including food, bedding and blankets.  In January pupils visited the Dogs Home in Bucknall, Stoke-on-Trent. During the visit, the pupils found out how our donations had been put to good use and also met the dog warden who explained the work that he does in our communities.  It was a very informative visit enjoyed by all.

'Misunderstood' Performance
We were delighted to be joined by a band called `Misunderstood’ recently.  Some of the members got to the semi-finals of Britain’s Got Talent.  They gave an excellent and lively performance for the pupils, delivering a message on Cyberbullying, Discrimination and British Values.
