The Kidsgrove community came together to support local pupils at a sun filled Family Fun Day.
Hosted across The Kidsgrove Primary and Secondary School sites, the afternoon included a raft of stalls and activities, including archery, a penalty shoot-out and an inflatable assault course.
Principal of The Kidsgrove Primary School, Kelly Pope, said: “The day has been a celebration of the fantastic progress we have achieved this year and we can’t wait to continue growing this positive atmosphere in September.”
The good vibes continued with attendees being left in awe as pupils from both schools took part in a talent show displaying a wide variety of impressive skills, including gymnastics, joke telling, dancing and singing.
With help from residents at Maple Tree Court, the primary school’s inter-generational choir stole the show with a moving rendition of The Greatest Showman’s ‘A Million Dreams’.
Commenting on the hard work put in behind the scenes, Principal of The Kidsgrove Secondary School Karen Mitchell said: “Our staff , students and parents have been amazing in planning and running the event, and the success of the day is a testament to their hard work.
“Today could not have happened without the help of the community – providing prizes, baking cakes and running stalls. We are overwhelmed by the support we have received and cannot thank everyone enough for their involvement.”
