GCSE success at Wolstanton High School has delivered some impressive results this year.
The number of students achieving the top grades (9-7) increased in mathematics, while impressive performance was seen in English language, with Wolstanton students exceeding the national average.
The academy, which is part of Shaw Education Trust, also saw an improvement in science grades, as well as continued to produce outstanding results in numerous non-core subjects, including RE, PE, art and photography.
Executive headteacher, Julie Yarwood, beamed: “Our pupils are a testament to the high standard of teaching and learning developed at the school and we could not be prouder of each student’s achievements.”
Benefiting from the support of the Trust, Wolstanton continues to go from strength to strength and joins other high-achieving academies in yesterday’s well-earned celebrations.
