Following swiftly on from Madeley School’s top-ranking success in Mathematics GCSE results in Staffordshire this summer, national statistics now show Madeley finished in the top 2% of schools across the country. This result is a fantastic 21 percentage point improvement from last year, showing how the hard work of the dedicated staff at Madeley School and Shaw Education Trust has made an impact.
Madeley’s success is not limited to Mathematics, with the school significantly above the national average for pupils achieving grade 4 or higher in English and Maths GCSE. The school also made significantly positive pupil progress in Music, Chemistry, History, Biology, Mathematics, Science: Additional GCSE and English Literature.
Madeley is also above the National Average with a Progress 8 score of 0.12 which puts Madeley into the 37th percentile nationally.
